Government
The US federal government is the largest customer in the world, and Freight Management is proud to call them one of ours. Freight Management is currently approved to work with USTRANSCOM in conjunction with DTCI, SDDC, GSA, SBA, and CCR. Working together with these organizations gives us the ability to move freight of all kinds for the government and their customers.
The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) is one of ten unified commands of the United States Department of Defense. The mission of USTRANSCOM is to provide air, land and sea transportation for the Department of Defense, both in time of peace and time of war. As the single manager of America's global defense transportation system, USTRANSCOM is tasked with the coordination of people and transportation assets to allow the US to project and sustain forces, whenever, wherever, and for as long as they are needed.
Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), is the overland lift component and primary surface distribution manager for USTRANSCOM. SDDC's mission is to provide global surface deployment command and control and distribution operations to meet National Security Objectives in peace and war. In an average year, SDDC manages and directs the movement of 3.7 million measurement tons (4.2 million m³) of ocean cargo, 500,000 personal-property moves, 600,000 domestic freight shipments, 72,000 privately owned vehicles and 518,000 passengers. Within the United States, the SDDC works with the Federal Highway Administration to designate the Strategic Highway Network. Being an approved U.S. government service provider, we have the honor of working with all branches of the U.S. military. At Freight Management, we understand the importance of safe and timely transit of government goods to ensure our servicemen and women have the products they need domestically and internationally.
The General Services Administration (GSA) is an independent agency of the United States government, established in 1949 to help manage and support the basic functioning of federal agencies. The GSA supplies products and communications for U.S. government offices, provides transportation and office space to federal employees, and develops government-wide cost-minimizing policies, among other management tasks. GSA’s mission is "to use expertise to provide innovative solutions for our customers in support of their missions and by so doing foster an effective, sustainable, and transparent government for the American people." Federal customer agencies have benefited from GSA's actions to provide agencies with standardized and cost effective transportation services. GSA's Standard Tender of Service establishes a uniform basis for buying freight transportation through its rules and accessorial services. Freight Management has the ability to work with any customer that works through the GSA.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a United States government agency that provides support to small businesses. The SBA provides services to Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, like Freight Management, to help them grow and succeed in the marketplace. The SBA utilizes the Central Contractors Registration in order for small businesses to provide their services to the Federal Government. Additionally, the SBA has directly or indirectly helped nearly 20 million businesses and in 2008 had a loan portfolio of roughly 219,000 loans worth more than $84 billion making it the largest single financial backer of businesses in the United States. Freight Management is proud to be recognized as a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business.
The Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is the primary supplier database for the U.S. Federal government. The CCR collects data from suppliers, validates and stores this data, and disseminates it to various government acquisition agencies. The United States Department of Defense (DoD) identified a centralized, electronic registration process known as CCR as the single point of entry for vendors that want to do business with the DoD. Current federal law requires that all federal contractors register in the CCR database prior to award of any contract or purchase agreement.
Freight Management can offer logistics services for both military and civilian customers in the public sector who work directly with the U.S. federal government!
